Raising concerns on Heathrow.

06 September 2019

6 September 2019: I have several constituents who are very concerned about the expansion of Heathrow Airport.  These concerns are very real and cover a lot of ground – ranging from aircraft noise, to the environment to infrastructure.  Today, I wrote to the CEO of Heathrow to share these concerns.  Please see my letter to him below:

Supporting last night’s Bill.

03 September 2019

3 September 2019: Last night I made a hugely difficult and emotional decision to vote against the Government and support the European Union (Withdrawal) No. 6 Bill.  This was by no means a decision I took lightly, and please see below a summary of my reasons for doing so. 3 August 2019: It was so wonderful to see some of the presentations by NCS students today at Guildford County School.  NCS is such a wonderful organisation, creating great opportunities for young people. My grateful thanks also to the residents of Elmbridge Village for giving the students such a warm welcome and for your time in making their experience so very positive.

Resigning from Government

24 July 2019

24 July 2019: This week I made the extremely difficult decision to resign from the Government.  Please see my letter to the Prime Minister. I will not support leaving the EU without a deal, however I will do everything I can from the backbenches to support the new Prime Minister as he tries to achieve a deal with the EU.
